H-1B Visa: New Season Starts April 1, 2010

According to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), they will begin accepting H-1B visa applications again for the fiscal year 2011 starting April 1, 2010. Although the H-1B visa is a lesser known visa, they are predominantly used in specialized business fields such as science, engineering, computers, arts and entertainment for management and professional employees. The total number of visas allowed for the H-1B is 65,000 per fiscal year. Although 65,000 seems like a high number, for FY2010 all the visas were used up within three months of the opening registration date. You must act quickly to take advantage of the 2011 season.
